The history of Clos des Elfes

“This place was born from a dream, a need for peace, authenticity, and a deep desire to welcome you as one would welcome friends.”
Le Clos des Elfes is not just a place of welcome: it is our home, our haven, our dream come true.
I'm Sandrine, a professional oenologist with over 20 years of experience in the world of wine, biodynamics, and supporting independent winemakers. I worked as an employee for many years before creating my own consulting firm. But beyond my work, what I truly love is welcoming, caring, and providing a space where we can reconnect with ourselves, others, and nature.
In 2019, I fell in love with this house. A bright, secluded place at the foot of Pic Saint-Loup, already vibrating with a peaceful and enveloping energy. I lovingly renovated it to make it a refuge, a cocoon, a place to share.
Why “Le Clos des Elfes”? Because since I was little, I have felt the subtle, I see what others do not. Elves have always been my invisible guides. For me, they are protective and benevolent presences. This name is a tribute to this invisible bond, to this gentle and discreet magic that inhabits the place.
And then there's Manu. My lifelong friend. A friendly encounter 25 years ago in Juan-les-Pins, and since then, an unbreakable bond. We've shared everything: travel, hardships, laughter. After a long career in catering, notably on the Lérins Islands, Manu joined the Clos des Elfes adventure after a major life change. Today, he is the beating heart of our table d'hôtes, an intuitive, generous, and connected cook.
This place is us. A lived-in, vibrant, calm, and joyful home. A place to recharge, learn, celebrate, and reconnect. We live here, and every guest who walks through the door enters our world, suspended in time.
Welcome home.
